Why design a dosing system?
“With this system, we facilitated the loading of these machines, making them more automatic. Previously it was difficult; instead, this way we made the work much simpler and faster.”
How did you come to design such systems?
“Thanks to my diploma as a mechanical industry technician and the experience gained working in the plastics machinery and systems sector as a designer (I designed these systems while working at the Caccia mechanical workshops in Samarate), I was able to understand the various needs and problems to be solved. I then found the technical way to solve them, having previously designed granule dosing systems for extrusion and injection presses.”
What changed after this presentation?
“Over the years, many customers have installed this equipment and different sizes have been made, eventually dosing material into both small molds and large tanks.”

What changed after this presentation?
“In recent years, dosing has developed only from an electronic perspective, at a digital and IT level—a development I have been able to follow and continue to follow through Eurotec Impianti. At a structural and mechanical level, however, it has not been possible to do much more, as mechanics have not kept pace with electronics.”
The first dosing units only recorded the weight; later, we were able to interface these systems with production management software in collaboration with leading companies in the sector. Upon arrival of the order, production loads the product code and, based on this, the sequence starts automatically to reach the material formulation, dosing, transport, and injection of the material into the mold.”
“Subsequently, in recent years we have developed other IT systems that have also been able to code the material itself in the warehouse. We started by solving a dosing problem and have impacted the rotational molding sector with 360-degree software for material management.”
“Over the years, for example, I have also designed individual on-board dosing systems for small weighings. Here, the package of material to be dosed is directly bagged or placed in small buckets to be ready for the operator during the dosing phase.”
